Italian Society of Forensic Clinical Psychology
The Italian Society of Forensic Clinical Psychology (Società Italiana di Psicologia Clinica Forense, S.I.P.C.F.) was established on the initiative of its Founder, Dr Carmelo Dambone, with the aim of expanding the well-established relationship between Psychology and Law. Psychology has become an indispensable discipline in the forensic context, particularly in light of its many forms and the wide range of fields in which it now operates.
Drawing on the experience of its Founder, who is attentive to cultural changes, the aim is to disseminate and develop a new way of conceptualising and integrating knowledge in Psychology and Law through the promotion of studies, research, publications, scientific events, and information and training courses.
The inclusion of this Association on the Bottari Law Firm website reflects both the fact that the prestigious S.I.P.C.F. was originally based at the law offices of Avv. Salvatore Bottari, who is among its members and occasionally its speakers, and the personal and professional interest of the Firm’s principal in this discipline. This passion has endured for over thirty years, since his degree thesis, defended in the 1993/1994 academic year, entitled “Psicologia della testimonianza e problemi della ricognizione” (“The Psychology of Testimony and Issues in Identification”).
